Oukitel gives the K4000 an extra 1000mAh of juice, calls it the K4000 Pro

Most Chinese phones are no longer jacks of all and masters of none. They’re most certainly the master of at least ONE!

We’ve seen phones with super powerful SoCs, large amounts of RAM and of course, big batteries. The Oukitel K4000 was one such phone with its 4000mAh cell. Now if you though that wasn’t enough for you, there’s some good news.

Oukitel has released another version of the K4000 as the K4000 Pro, but this time with an even larger battery. From 4000mAh of the K4000, the K4000 Pro takes it up to a hefty 5000mAh.

There are a few more improvements on the K4000 Pro just besides the battery. Let me list them down:

Gizchina News of the week

  • Stronger screen: Oukitel claim that the screen will be stronger than the K4000. According to the company, this is achieved by making the screen 1.1mm thick, as opposed to 0.9mm on other phones. The screen is also supposed to have a hardness value of 9H, and a ‘stress value’ of 1000MPa.
  • Design: the K4000 Pro will have a full metal frame curved at four corners. According to Oukitel, this improves the drop-endurance of the phone by up to 80%.

The 5000mAh cell of the K4000 Pro is said to do up to 40 days of standby, which is pretty extreme in my opinion.

Lastly, there’s word that the K4000 Pro could have Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board… but confirmation from the factory about this is still pending.

Starting to get impressed by this brand. I just hope they release source-code to community as their community is lacking. They have good OTA so maybe that’s why.

They also need a 4000 model in Helio X20 with 20/8MP cams.

    Why not K5000?
Plus long publicised K6000 appears to have only just shipped so this one might take a while to appear.

Are these phones too thick to handle?

    • December 6, 2015

No. I have the K4000 and it is slightly thinner than my old Moto G. I have also had a Xiaomi Mi4i and frankly found it way too thin to hold well.

Backlit Buttons and a N-LED would have been more sensible…..

Also they should do darker colours as I only buy Black or Grey phones.

Not interested until they give us a price.

Xiaomi/Meizu are missing in the cheap big battery phones, the Note 3 kinds of tries but it’s currently too expensive to call it “cheap”

    we need NOTIFICATION LEDDD

    • December 6, 2015

+1 for this. I have the K4000 and really like it; just wish it had a notification LED. It seems like it would cost about 10p, but make the phone so much better.
