Blackview’s latest is another rugged smartphone, but with a smaller 4.7-inch display.
Last year Blackview launched their first rugged phone called the BV5000. The phone was actually well made, and performed rather well and has gone on to becoming quite a popular device for people of all walks of life.
If there was one issues with the phone though, it would be the size. A 5.5-inch phone with a thick rugged body means a very large device indeed, so customers called for something a little smaller.
So introducing the Blackview BV6000. This new rugged phone offered all the waterproofing and shock protection of the original BV5000, but in a smaller size and more compact 4.7-inch display.
The phone remains IP68 approved so you don’t need to worry about dropping it in a puddle, or being ran over, but it also boasts a Mediatek Helio P10 chipset and 3GB RAM meaning its one of the more powerful rugged phones on the market.
32GB memory comes as standard, as does Android 6.0 and a 4500mAh battery which should prove more than enough for the smaller HD 1280 x 720 display.

While developing the BV6000, Blackview have managed to boost camera specs on the phone to an 8 mega-pixel front and 18 mega-pixel rear sensor. Other features include GPS, GLONASS support, dual micro SIM cards and FDD-LTE support for bands 800/1800/2100/2600Mhz.
Pricing is expected to be around the $200 mark with a launch sometime in Q2 of 2016.
Another smaller phone from Blackview, the Blackview A8 is on sale already with 8 mega-pixel camera for just $50.
I don`t believe that this will be launched at around 200$ or at all, more likely Blackview is testing interest in such a phone, to see wheater it can generate enough market buzz to actually make something similar(in specs and price).
And since the P10 is something new and hot and found in above 200$ phones this looks lucrative, but mind you 4-5 months from now it will end up in fphone for around 120-130$(as it will completely replace the 6753 as a mid-range SoC)

Actually, that was one rare time I was proven wrong by Blackview.
Must give them credit for that, as the phone has a really good feature set for that price. Although the P10 was quickly seen by what it actually is(a revamped 6752) and those not offer that extra performance boost, so my estimate of phones with it for 130-140$ maybe a month away. It`s still a bit pricey for an unproven brand, but definitely an OK buy at below 200$ for battery life and general performance.
Bought the Oukitel K10000 for a friend at 149$, and it`s a great phone(if you can carry it:D), and although it has twice the battery life, those extra 50$(for the BV6000) buys you a gaming phone with a big battery.
I’m interested, although I would have preferred the bigger screen.
If you don’t mind Malware riddled phones or a rugged phone with a protruding screen that is easily breakable then go ahead and buy one. My BV5000 is smooth and overall a very good phone but Blackview ruined it with Malware riddled system apps and a nonsensical screen design. Never again.

Blackview are absolute rubbish, their BV5000 was crap with easily cracking screen…. forum always being cleared of any negative posts/reviews…. They are always faking specs and are no where near quality they claim…. AC wifi and 120gb sc support would be handy on this and real bullet proof screen.
