Elephone C1 has the AppLock function for better security

Securing your private data and information stored in your phone is quite an important part of the phone user life and usually you are using ways like passwords or fingerprint scanner, but that’s usually only for general unlock. For better control and customization is better to have some app or function able to lock individual applications just to your liking. And the new Elephone C1 has such function built-in and ready to use for everybody.

Elephone C1 has been launched in September and it’s a budget device with quite some appealing looks and low price. Of course the specs are corresponding with that so it has 5.5-inch display with HD resolution, quad-core MT6737 processor clocked at 1,3 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM with possible extension, main 13 Mpix camera, front 2 Mpix camera, fingerprint scanner, metal body, 2850 mAh battery and Android 6.0 with ELE UI on top of it.

Gizchina News of the week

But back to the security talk, Elephone C1 has a built-in AppLock function and you can check out the following video to get some better idea how it works for locking individual apps. And of course you can find more detailed information about the Elephone C1 model here.

I don’t seems nothing exceptional, they have integrated an app within the firmware, like so many other companies have done …

I can tell you one thing….also if is a simple application, it is an intelligent integration.
Do you know how many times I found my little nephew with my phone in his hand and I chasing him and make him cry for remove him the smartphone? Not that inside the smartphone there are who knows, but often adults will spend jokes or videos a bit rude (not vulgar, just to laugh) that it would be better that young children did not look, and in this case this application is just the best thing that can happen. Just lock the gallery (for example) and he can play around with the games, all times he wants!

Buy a Xiaomi phone and you can lock all the applications you want with your fingerprint (and it’s better than any Ele phone)

It’a a gooa add-on. The app is already present in some other smartphone, it’s easy and effective! but i prefer to have fingerprint security to open apps instead of pin..

I didn’t find anything new here. I mean almost all the phone which runs on Android 6 marshmallow, have this feature. Even LeEco also added this feature with marshmallow update. So it is nothing new. An article for only this feature?? I was expecting something else would be there with this news.

This is great for keeping your friends from some personal files and some apps you don’t want them to see. I wish all their models had this feature, because it’s a must have in my opinion. Great work!

I don’t care if Meizu, LeEco or whatever other Chinese companies have had this feature included before, the fact that Elephone included it inb c1 is just great and i admire them for it, there plenty of other phones without this feature, but the fact that this model has it is just good and such features are always welcome no matter how good or bad the company is, this is good, very good job done right 🙂

Very interesting feature, also still I saw something similar in other phones.
Nice idea, however, to insert it.
