Is This The Meizu mblu Zero?

After Meizuā€™s criticism of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 could the Meizu mblu Zero really look like this?

Meizuā€™s Li Nan isnā€™t a fan of Xiaomiā€™s Mi Mix 2 and has publicly criticised the phone, but was that less to do with having actual issues with the phone or more to do with the fact an upcoming Meizu looks a lot like it?

Over the past few weeks, it has been revealed that Meizu is working on a smartphone with this yearā€™s must-have feature, a display that stretches completely across the face of the device.

The original details came from Li Nan himself and they were quickly followed up with purported teaser images of a phone named the Meizu mblu Zero.

Gizchina News of the week

Those rumours have not stepped a little further and a full render of the smartphone has now been revealed on Weibo.

Apparently, the mBlu Zero will be launched in early 2018 as a flagship device spawned from Meizuā€™s Blue Charm sub-brand. The mblu Zero is a flagship bezel-less smartphone with dual rear cameras with a fingerprint scanner below them.

If this is really a render of the Maize mblu Zero, which in all honesty we highly doubt, this is a little unimpressive given that Chinese flagships have already started to confirm Face ID features.

Only time will tell if this is the real deal or not.

Give me a rear mounted fingerprint sensor any day over face ID.

Ah, finally someone who understands it… if you’re going to make a 3-side-edgeless-display, have the thick bezel on the top for a speaker and a top down looking selfie cam. All these ‘Mix’ devices have it on the bottom, which is annoying as vuck.
Concerning fingerprint touch sensor… I can’t identify one on the rear… and I prefer mine on the front or side anyways. Possibly on the front and ‘underglass’ type. I do like the multi-use front fingerprint ID scanner and home button on the Huawei P10 Plus, btw. Although I do miss a menu option (there’s only ‘home’, ‘back’ and organize (prev/next)).
