4 Aviation Firsts For China This Week

The aviation industry has been in overdrive this week in China bringing 4 firsts to the country’s airspace. 2 planes, 1 jet, 1 amphibious, a helicopter and a lady!

More details after the jump.

The first piece of news with an air of aeronautical importance was the maiden flight of China’s first light civilian helicopter. Known as the AC311 this multi-purpose whirlybird has been designed for training, fire prevention and police work and is planned to go on world wide sale.

Next up, was news that the ARJ-21 passenger jet had made its debut at Zhuhai air show in Guangdong province on 9th November. If you happen to be in South China the jet developed by state-backed Commercial Aircraft Corporation will be on show until 16th November.
Then there was the maiden flight of The Seagull 300, the first China made light multi-function amphibious plane. The flight took place on 10th November at Shijiazhuang in North China’s Hebei province, piloted by Mao Yanxia who happens to be…
