3D Video Recording for Less Than $250: Ordro HDV-VD1

Ever wanted to don a blue skin suit and prance around like a Navi in your own fan fiction 3D Avatar movie, but thought 3D video equipment was out of your price range? Take a look again!

This camcorder by Ordro can capture 3D movie plus 8 mega-pixel still images and costs less than $250! Thats for the fully loaded model with carry bag and 16 Gb SD card (32Gb is the maximum supported) if you wanted to spend less you could opt for the 2 GB SD card bundle without carry bag for $225.

The 3D option will reduce video quality to WVGA standard with a resolution of 848 x 480 where as regular 2D video capture can handle full 720p with 1280 x 720 resolution.

Gizchina News of the week

On the front, protected from dirt and dust under a plastic cover, are a HDMI out and mini USB for easy sharing. The USB also acts as a charging port for the replaceable battery.
Aesthetically the Ordro HDV VD1 looks very similar to the Sanyo Xacti range of video cameras, we wouldn’t be surprised it Ordro make the Xacti for Sanyo in fact, with large fold out LCD view screen and video/shutter thumb controls.
This is one camera thats definitely going on my Christmas wish list!
