The AigoPad is Easily the Best Looking Tablet of 2011

Fed up with all those iPad looking tablets? No, neither are we, but a change is always nice and Aigo’s 7 inch tablet is the kind of change we like!

More details and photos after the jump!

As we’re only 4 days in to the New Year I feel extremely comfortable with saying that this is by far the best looking tablet of the year! Yes, go on scoff! But it really is a great looking tablet.

The whole package oozes quality and attention to detail it all looks great from the custom UI to the data connection/charger cable.

Gizchina News of the week

We’re not sure what the AigoPad is sporting by way of specification, but we can tell you that it has a 7 inch capacitive screen, 3G, GPS, and an SD card reader.

The heavily modified custom OS (which looks great) is based on Android 2.1, but we imagine (hope) there will be at least a 2.2 upgrade in the pipeline and possibly a 2.3.

Unfortunately with most things of beauty and great design, the AigoPad has an extremely ugly price tag attached. The base version is priced at 3999 Yuan ($605) where as the top of the range model costs a staggering 5499 Yuan ($830)!
