Tawianese bookstore “Kingstone” has been making a small fortune selling what it thought was the official biography of Apple CEO Steve Jobs. The bestseller, as we can already guess, has turned out to be a fake written by a con man!
Kingstone launched the fake Steve Jobs Biography, named “11 Pieces of Advice to a Teenager” in April and have sold 400o copies so far netting a cool $39,000!
But after some detective work by Taiwanese reporters authorities have leaned that the book, translated by a person named “John Cage” is actually a fake, and his registered address turned out to be a fake!
The real Steve Jobs Biography is due out in November this year, but if you can read Chinese and fancy a giggle you might want ot pick up a fake one as they are now available on China’s Taobao!
