The Android powered Xiaomi shocked the Chinese tech world in August with it's amazing specification, super low price and rather bizarre name choice. Now, the 4-inch screened smart phone has a release date.
The Xiaomi will go on sale on 15th October which will be about 1 month before the iPhone 4S arrives in China and may help the new smart phone get a head start on the dominant Apple phone.
Featuring a 4-inch touch screen from Japanese brand Sharp, Qualcomm Duo-core 1.5G CPU, 1G RAM, 4G capacity which can expand to 32G with micro SD cards, the Xiaomi is a bit of a bargain gadget at only 1999 Yuan! ($313)
According to Xiaomi's press office 300,000 pre orders have already been placed for the new Android phone!
