Zopo launching 5.7 inch 1280 x 720 Phablet in 2013

Zopo have come from nowhere! In just a few months the company has a number of physical stores, a great online mall, a large range of phones and for 2013 they will launch a 5.7 inch Phablet with 1280 x 720 resolution!

One of the main problems with the current range of Chinese phablets is the poor quality display with horrendous resolution. Zopo are aiming to solve this with their 5.7 inch phablet which will have an impressive (for its size) resolution of 1280 x 720!

Gizchina News of the week

Other details and the name of the new 2012 Zopo phablet have been kept quiet for now, but we can assume the new Zopo will make use of the Media MT6589 quad-core CPU or similar, will have upwards of 1GB RAM, and may very well get a 13 mega-pixel rear camera.

We’ll bring you more details as they arrive!

The current range of Zopo phones can be bought from Zopo Mobile Shop.

Apparently this phone popped up briefly on their site before being removed. Every month they seem to bringing new phones out like the pre sales for the ZP200+ dual core and the recently released ZP300+. I wonder how they perform?

Probably my next phone. I’m happy with Zoppo – let’s hope they’ll keep the same quality level as the Zp900 series because previous ones were not -quite- as good. I believe we’ll probably see that new one close to next summer. Any earlier release will suprise me unless the sales on the older models are not going well and they need something new out quickly….

The MT6589 chipset supports 12mpx CMOS sensor, which next year will be the industry stantard. If they’ll keep the mediocre sensor (i’m not sure if it’s even 8mpx) of ZP900 it’s gonna be an Epic Fail…
