Gionee GN818T carbon quad-core MT6589 available from 18th January


A few days ago we posted news about Gionee’s new quad-core phone with carbon body, now it seems we won’t have to wait to long to see the real thing as the Gionee GN818T looks set for an 18th January launch.

The Gionee GN818T is Gionee’s first new phone for 2013 and the companies first quad-core phone which uses MediaTeks all new MT6589 CPU.

From what Gionee have let leak about the new phone, it is going to be pretty high-end model and will feature a 7.6mm carbon fibre body, and 4.65 inche AMOLED HD screen with 1280 x 720 resolution. We also expect the phone to ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and feature a 13 mega-pixel rear camera and 2GB RAM.

Prices are not yet known but if the 18th January launch date turn out to be correct then we don’t have to wait for long for the full facts.

    I would order it in a heartbeat, especially if it costs below $400. i see that in the picture it says “8.0mpx” and you say 13mpx camera. don’t care too much for it , but it would be a nice surprise if it surpasses it’s own pictures.
