ZTE Grand Memo will ship with Snapdragon 800!

What a mess! First the ZTE Grand Memo would have the new Snapdragon 800, then it wouldn’t and now it is again!

Earlier this week ZTE launched their 5,7-inch quad-core phablet named the Grand Memo. The device is basically an oversized ZTE Grand S with a larger display and just 720HD rather than 1080.

Gizchina News of the week

At the event and on press info handed out by ZTE at the launch, ZTE listed the Grand Memo as boasting the newly announced Snapdragon 800 processor. This came as a surprise to many, but more to Qualcomm themselves! It later turned out that the Grand Memo would ship with a S4 Pro instead!

In fact it turns out everyone was correct! According to ZTE staff at MWC there will be more than one version of the Grand Memo available at launch, including a Snapdragon 800 model! According to Chinese sites the base model of the large screen ZTE phone will arrive on market at must 3000 Yuan ($480) which makes it an attractive alternative to the Oppo Find 5!

I think is not a Oppo Find 5 rival because of screen resolotuion and inches. 1080p vs 720p and 5″ vs 5,7″, but i prefer as long the new Snapdragon 800 than the S4 “old” version 😉
