Neo are sending out mixed and conflicting information regarding the soon to be released Neo N003. The official word sent to us is that the phone will be a 5-inch 720 device while Neo’s forums have posted a poll suggesting a 5.3-inch phone could be a possibility.
This weekend while I received a Wechat message from a contact from Neo stating that the N003 will come in two guises. A low-cost 1GB RAM 8GB ROM model and a high-end 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM model. Both phones will feature the quad-core MT6589 chip, 13 mega-pixel camera and 5-inch 720HD display.
However, Neo’s forums tell a different tale and are asking Neo fans to vote on a possible screen size. The forum thread here, claims that both a 5-inch full HD (1080) and 5.3-inch 720HD versions of the N003 are out in the field testing as we speak, but only one can go to market. The thread ends in a poll to ask which size members would prefer.
This doesn’t bold well for Neo’s claim launch date of the flagship N003 being later this month! So what are they playing at? Is this a stall tactic like the ones JiaYu deployed last year when they had problems with the G3, or is this just a way of hyping fans up and getting free media attention?[poll id=”7″]
