Ginwave Gnote 2S receives quad-core upgrade


It’s rehash/midlife update time of year again. Xiaomi have boosted the Mi2 to M2s, JiaYu will start production of the quad-core G3 very soon and now Ginwave have announced they plan to produce a quad-core version of their Gnote phablet.

Ginwave introduced their stylus equipped Gnote phablet sometime last year with the then popular dual-core MT6577 CPU. Wanting to get some extra milage out of the phablet before launching an all new model, Ginwave have announced the Gnote 2S, basically the same phone with a quad-core MT6589 processor.

For those of you not familiar with the device the Ginwave Gnote 2S features a 5.3-inch display, quad-core MT6589 CPU, 1GB RAM, Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, 4GB ROM, 8 mega-pixel rear camera, 2750mAh battery and that ever important stylus.
