Huawei considering Google Edition Ascend P6

Huawei might be having second thoughts about their Ascend P6 and may launch a Huawei Ascend P6 Google Edition after all.

The Huawei Ascend P6 launched just a week ago, and the news back then that Huawei were totally in love with their latest version of Emotion UI and that a Google Edition of the phone would not be launched. We don’t know what’s happened (perhaps they are upset over the 5.6mm Umeox X5) but it now appears they are at least considering the idea.

Gizchina News of the week

Kevin Ho the head of Huawei’s handset division has mentioned that Huawei are currently in talks with Google to “analyse the possibility of bringing out a Huawei Ascend P6 Google Edition.”

We actually think a Google Edition of the P6 would be an excellent idea as not everyone is as head over heals with Huawei’s (rather ugly) Emotion UI.
