Rumour: Xiaomi mass producing smartwatch for launch this year


Reports from manufactures in Shenzhen claim that Xiaomi are mass producing their own Android smartwatch featuring cut down MIUI.

The rumour claims that Xiaomi have secured a reliable supply chain for it’s own Android smartwatch and are mass pro ducting the device as we speak. Very little is know at this stage but we believe that the watch will sync with current Xiaomi phones and feature similar cloud, music and storage services in addition to health monitoring.

Details go on to say that once the smartwatch is launched Xiaoim will launch the device instantly. Pricing is should be keen and be much cheaper than similar models from Geak, Sony and Samsung.

    What they need is less froth and more actual delivery ie dates, units, price (for HK for eg). For sentiment see Xiaomi’s Hk Facebook page

    Seems Xiaomi is having a lot of rumours. How about the rumours about HongMi WCDMA, Xiaomi Tablet (a.k.a. Purple Rice), Mi3 WCDMA release….. Hugo Bara, any assurances?
