Angry Birds took the world by storm when it
launched and in
China the momentum is still strong as the
first official
Angry Birds theme park opened it’s doors.
Today was the
first day back at work for many here in
China after the week-long October National Day Holiday. The holidays in
China aren’t as relaxing as they ought to be due to the shear volume of people tackling
public transport and taking in the sights and this holiday tourists had a
new attraction to enjoy, the Angry Bird’s Theme Park in Zhejiang.
The
Bird flinging themed park takes up 10,000 square meters and includes adventure play area, 4D movie theatre, rides and
touchscreen Angry Birds games dotted about the complex.
Official numbers from the opening day during the national holiday claims that over 30,000 people visited the park after opening on 1st October. Rovio had been working on opening a theme park in
China since
2011, and plans to open more parks though out the mainland.
