We recently
reported about the affordable trio of super affordable Intel powered phones that
Asus showcased. The
Asus Zenfone 4 happens to be the cheapest among the three.
Joshua Vergara of
Android Authority got a chance to play with the
Asus Zenfone 4 at the ongoing
CES 2014. The Zenfone 4 is priced a meagre $99. Meagre because it comes with a dual-core Intel Atom Z2520
processor and 1GB of
RAM, which is something that will make Chinese manufacturers green in envy. Apart from the Intel
processor and 1GB RAM, the phone comes with a 4-inch WVGA screen true to its name, a camera duo of a 5 mega-pixel rear and a 0.3 mega-pixel front and lastly, a 1170mAh battery.
Asus has shown some great intent by pricing the
device aggressively. With a
price tag of just $99, the
device is bound to do well not only in emerging markets, but also in markets as mature as the US.
