Colorfly, best known for its 'audiophile'
music players like the
C3 and CK4, is all set to give a green signal to its latest tablet, the Colorfly
U975 Q1.
The
device is in line to see a launch later this month in
China, with specifications which make it a decent alternative to any high-end Apple or Samsung tablet. The
device will have a
9.7-inch
screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, also titled 'retina' by sellers in
China. As you might be aware, the term 'Retina display' is actually an Apple brand name for displays with pixel density greater than what they think is enough for a human eye to distinguish between pixels.
The
U975 Q1 is also expected to feature a metal-clad CNC-processed body, giving other local manufacturers like Aoson (known for better than average build) a run for their money. It will come with a
quad-core processor of unspecified make and/or frequency, joined by 2GB of RAM and a wholesome 32GB of internal storage. Lastly, the
rear camera on the
U975 Q1 will be an 8 mega-pixel shooter with no word on front-facing specs.
