6.18mm Newman K18 Octacore could cost less than $250 in China

Compared to other Chinese phone makers, Newman have been keeping their Octacore launches rather low-key, could this be so they can make more of an entrance with the new super-slim Newman K18?

The Newman K18 is hardly a new or mysterious device here at GizChina. We have already reported on the phone a few times in the past and have even seen it get its official network license, but a confirmed launch date still evades us.

Gizchina News of the week

Recent news about the K18 still fails to mention the launch date, but does hint at a possible launch price of less than $250 for Chinese customers. Newman are known for launching their phones at low prices to gain traction so it remains to be seen if this will be an intro price or the official RRP.

    Andi,

Would be possible to draw up a post with the list of Smartphones MTK 6592 (octacore) already launched in the international market (WCDMA) and those are planned to be launched in the first half 2014?

It would be a simple post with objective specifications (screen, battery, etc.)

Yeap I second that…we really need a database or better a wiki with all the phones and their “real” specs

The NEWMAN K18 is already listed and is one of the lowest priced 6592 phones in many shops. Is something missing in the K18 or is it just an agressive pricing? As far as I have seen, the features are comparable to THL T100S (except the front camera and the dimensions).
