New exclusive GizROM ported to the octacore Zopo ZP998 by Marsapa. Download and install version 3.0 of the new ROM here.
Below you will find the change log including all tweaks performed by Marsapa of GizRom based on Android 4.2.2 for the flagship Zopo ZP998 Android smartphone. This ROM is based on latest stock OTA update (0218) and so will ot void the warranty of your ZP998, of course only if it is purchased on zopomobile.it!

- Based on 0218 stock firmware. Fixed microphone and battery percentage bugs;
- Aroma installer. You can choice a 7 or 13 gb memory repartition, install your country GPS.Conf and choice from 5 launcher (air gesture works only with stock launcher):
- Pre Root;
- Busibox;
- Zippalign;
- Bootanimation pure google;
- Sony walkamn player;
- Xposed framework, gravitybox, xblast e xbattery (There is a bug. If you activate it could be some random reboots);
- Removed all chinese Apps;
- Replaced compass app;
- New default wallpaper;
- Notification LED with blue colour.

As with previous versions of GizRom the following steps must be performed to install the new ROMon your Zopo ZP998. Also, please ensure you only install ROM’s designed for your phone, never try to install a ROM from another phone on to your device. Installing custom ROM’s is done so at your own risk. Please only do this if you feel confident in how to complete the task without bricking your device.

How to install GizROM on the Zopo ZP998
- Download the zip file and copy it to the phone memory;
- If you have not already done so run the root with framaroot;
- Reboot the device into recovery (if you have not yet installed used Mobileuncle Tools).

4. Install the ROM by choosing “install zip from SD card / choose zip from internal SD card ” and select the file you downloaded and copied to the phone memory.

Attention! It should be noted that xpodesd framework and modules are not yet stable on the SoC 6592 and, therefore, if activated could generate random reboots!

Thank you very much for this great update, I buy yesterday my ZP998 and now its work great it is very fast, just notice that the music player always crash but now the camera is much better. The ZOPO 998 is a great device the quality of the screen is very nice and its very fast

There is an ERROR in Aroma script! It can not repartition internal memory. Error is in folder names under extra/partition! ROM needs a fix!
Waiting for this fix, you can still install the ROM without repartition.
i have made a fix myself – that was not very difficult, but EBR files themselves are not good: with both 7GB and 13GB options i get a boot loop. I have used a 10GB files pair for MTK6592 from xda and it worked perfect
and… Xposed, if installed, cause boot loop, too. Seems this ROM has never been tested before posting 🙁 Other than repartitioning and xposed incompatibility, it looks nice. Microphone bug is still there tho. Battery bug seems to has been fixed. I will keep this ROM for a while until we get something better. Hopefully, there will be KitKat for our rig 🙂

I bought Zopo 9520 from china in Yun O.S. Please tell me the procedure, how to change it to Android 4.2 O.S. I have the mobile with me from past 2 weeks, but nothing is understandable in Chinese apps. Also unable to transfer any apps from android mobile. please help me on this. Am from India, I want to use normal phone like Zopo Zp998 Android phone. let me know the procedure. step by step. After that hope i can update the ROM of ZP998?
