Video: Hands-on at the ZTE Firefox OS booth at MWC


GizChina.es’ Eduardo had the chance to play around with ZTE’s Firfox OS based devices at the ongoing MWC, and here’s what he thinks.

ZTE was among the first manufacturers to adopt the Firefox OS with their affordable devices. As can be seen from the video, the OS has some aesthetic appeal including a few similarities with Google’s Android. As Eduardo mentions, a big advantage the Firefox OS has is that it is web based, which translates to greater flexibility and cross-hardware compatibility for software.

Firefox OS, at the moment, target emerging markets and therefore feature more of entry-level hardware. However, this is all set to change in the future with greater acceptability and popularity of the Firefox OS.
