ZTE was among the first manufacturers to adopt the Firefox OS with their affordable devices. As can be seen from the video, the OS has some aesthetic appeal including a few similarities with Google’s Android. As Eduardo mentions, a big advantage the Firefox OS has is that it is web based, which translates to greater flexibility and cross-hardware compatibility for software.

Firefox OS, at the moment, target emerging markets and therefore feature more of entry-level hardware. However, this is all set to change in the future with greater acceptability and popularity of the Firefox OS.
