iOcean G7 Photo Samples

Photos samples taken with the main 13 mega-pixel camera on the latest iOcean G7 phablet.

If you would have asked me to walk around the streets with a 6.44-inch device and take photos a few years ago I would have quickly declined and kept a safe distance from you. In the past phablets had huge low-resolution displays and terrible rear cameras, but the new generation of phablet is an all new beast, one capable of some surprising photos.

The iOcean G7 is the first phablet from iOcean and its a great first step in to the market of larger screen devices. The G7 has everything we could ever want from a powerful octacore process, 2GB RAM and 1080 display to a very capable 13 mega-pixel rear sensor.

Gizchina News of the week

As usual the photo samples here are reduced for web viewing, and there is a link below where you can download the untouched full size photos.

I took these photos on a day with a lot of smog and the sun just managing to peek through now and then. I’m quite impressed with the quality for a device of this calibre and must admit that shooting photos on the iOcean G7 is a more satisfying experience than it is on the JiaYu S2.

We’ll bring you more on the iOcean G7 soon.

Please make photos in same conditions and same places, choose 1 low-light standard place and 1 standard panorama, so we could check quality of different sensors installed into phones and phablets.

I’m in the market for a chinese phablet. Would this be your first choice if you were spending your hard earned? Which other 6 inch octa core phablet(s) would you consider.
PS. Thanks for the blog andy, probably the best out there for this niche.

Aaaa … same sh|t every single next time to all the chinese manufacturers !!!

Andi… let me tell you my opinion on this G7 camera:

Actually after JIAYU tune their Panasonic CMOS it will be much better than the G7’s one, because currently the G7s camera is performing like the SUNNY(bullsh|t) 13MP camera on my G4T ….

check on all of the photos that you’ve been taken and especially the INSIDE of the picture’s center the image is with blue/green hue and in the rest of the picture I’m able to see the RED hue (in the bigger concentrated circles of the picture)…

Like I’m saying this is a know issue on almost all of the chiness manufactured CMOS sensors OR MAYBE is a problem related with the GPL violation of Mediatek’s NON shared source code
