A leaked poster reveals that Meizu will be offering a trade in
discount to
Xiaomi owners wanting to buy a Meizu
MX3.
Meizu really want to chip away at
Xiaomi’s market hold. The Zhuhai based phone maker has already released a lower cost version of its Meizu MX2, has started development on Flyme for the Mi3, will release a Note model to rival the Redmi Note and now this!
Meizu have always offered a trade in scheme allowing owners of current Meizu models the option of trading in their old
phones for a small
discount on a new one. This poster shows that Meizu could be planning to extend this to
Xiaomi owes wanting a Meizu phone!
The information in the green box mentions
Xiaomi phones (rather than a particular model) and says a maximum
discount of 500 Yuan ($80) will be offered when trading your old phone in for a 64GB Meizu
MX3. The offer could be perfect for Hongmi, or even Mi1, Mi2 owners to take part in!
Xiaomi will surely retaliate so keep an eye out for the latest chapter in the Xiaomi Meizu wars.
