Meizu are rumoured to be launching a handful of new smartphones in Q3 of this year ranging from flagship performance beasts to affordable Mediatek phones.
Rumours have been circulating for sometime that Meizu are preparing to adopt Mediatek chips, Q3 is looking like the time we will finally see this happen. According to a Meizu official the Zhuhai based phone company will launch a number of devices in Q3, at least 1 of which will be powered by Mediatek processors.
A Q3 launch and Meizu’s desire to have an affordable phone which will appeal to the masses points squarely at the octacore Mediatek MT6595 platform a variant of the current MT6592 but with support for 4G LTE and more efficient big.LITTLE architecture.
At the same time it is also believed a new flagship Meizu MX4 will be announced along with a possible Meizu Blue Charm Note device to rival the Xiaomi Redmi Note.
