Meizu launch Italian site, French and Russian sites coming

Off the back of their official online store, Meizu have not launched an Italian site with a Russian and French site on the way!

A few weeks ago Meizu launched their official online store for customers outside of China wanting to get hold of the fantastic octacore flagship phone. Meizumart is the name of the international sales site, but Meizu are now setting up localised version of the E-commerce branch of their company to help expand their market.

Gizchina News of the week

The first localised version of Meizumart is the Italian site which can be found at Meizu.it (if visiting from an Italian IP), the site is still being fully translated by Meizu’s Italian distributor who will also be handling sales of phones and accessories for the country. The Italian site is only the start though as Meizu are also working to launch French and Russian language sites in the next week or so.

As far as i can tell, without an italian IP, the MX3 starts at 350 Euros without VAT , add 22% VAT and it’s 427 euros (585$) so some 100$ more than on meizumart (with VAT added to the meizumart price) and over 2x the China price. Without any pricing advantage over known phone makers got to wonder why they even bother….
