Mystery phone runs Mediatek MT6595, scores over 43,000 points in Antutu

mediatek mt6595 antutu

Antutu screenshots from a mystery device running a Mediatek MT6595 have emerged boasting an amazing benchmark of 43,149 points.

As we all know, Antutu Benchmarks aren’t everything, but sully the higher the score the better the overall performance of a device. Over the past few months, most Chinese flagships have been reaching impressive scores, and it is now quite common to see a Snapdragon 801 equipped phone reach near to 40,000 points.

What isn’t common, is a Mediatek device giving a Snapdragon 801 phone a run for its money and reaching past 40,000 and beyond!

It has not been confined which phone these Antutu benchmarks come from, but what we do know is that it is a Mediatek MT6595 wielding weapon with dual SIM and support for LTE. We can also see that the octacore SoC is running at 1.7Ghz, there is 3GB RAM on board and the phone runs Android 4.4.2.

Gizchina News of the week

So let’s speculate what phone this could be. Could this Mediatek monster be the updated Xiaomi Mi3S? It get’s all the hardware the current Mi3 lacks and a move to Mediatek could lower the price further making it a seriously affordable phone. Or how about that Mediatek powered Meizu MX4 we have been hearing about recently? Then again perhaps it is someone like iOcean, TCL, Jiayu or even UMi!

What do you guy’s make of this score? Which phone do you think it could be?

If it wasn’t dual sim, I would have to say the next Nexus Device maybe?

The data icons in the statusbar are huge. Especially to notify of the 4G compability? 😉

Fake score, knock 10,000 off and you’ll be nearer the mark, I would love this to be true though and I wouldn’t be surprised if it were make my Jiake.

      What makes you think that?

I know from experience that an extra 10000 on Antutu is easily achieved (Onda do it on their tablets) as do many other Chinese manufacturers. We already know what cores its using and the performance of the GPU and I don’t think its capable of these results. Time will tell of course and we don’t have much longer to wait 🙂

Actually i am bit dissapionted, because it should have 50000. RK3288 is weaker and gets 41000 on Antutu.

2.1-2.2GHz in normal mode and 2.4-2.5GHz in turbo. but there is 1.7GHz on the screenshot. it is not real 6595 score

one plus is killing itself with it’s limited availability and super selective lists. What’s the point of a flagship killer if no one can buy it?

and ??? the MTK 6592 scores 24000-26000 points and is still way way slower than an 1-1,5 year old Snapdragon 600, which scores the same. Sorry Mediatek, you need way more time to catch up.

7% off the battery for 17 mins… What a device was benchmarked? I guess it’s shitty device. Already unlike it.

That’s 4 hour screen on time. That’s pretty ok. Better than an HTC one

Photoshop! Too much for mt6592, less for mt6595, witch scores over 50000!
