Another sub-7k INR KitKat phone from Micromax launched to counter the Moto E

Micromax have announced yet another smartphone in the 7,000 INR price bracket, to apparently battle the Moto E uprising that has taken the Indian market by storm.

Again, the phone runs KitKat and comes with dual SIM, a characteristic of ‘budget’ phones that have seen a launch in the past few months. The device we’re talking about is the Micromax Canvas Fire 2, that comes with a quad-core 1.3GHz CPU, presumably the MediaTek MT6582, along with a gig of RAM with a 6,999 INR price tag. The device is very much in line with other Micromax phones such as the Canvas Unite, Canvas Engage, etc.
