Bamboo OnePlus One Style Swap Covers launched at $49

While Xioami are in the process of launching the Xiaomi Mi4, OnePlus China and OnePlus Global have together announced the release of the Bamboo Style Swap cover for the OnePlus One.

We had already seen the wooden covers of the OnePlus One during the launch earlier this year. From hands on I can say they do look stunning and feel great in the hand, although they also add a little thickness to the phone too. Chinese OnePlus One fans will have the chance to but a 64GB OnePlus One Bamboo edition phone in a few days from 2499 Yuan (200 Yuan more than the standard sandstone version), while International fans will be able to buy the cover separately.

Gizchina News of the week

On the official OnePlus store the Bamboo Style Swap cover will cost $49 once it is available to purchase.

What do you think of the bamboo OnePlus One Style Swap cover? I’m sure you will agree it looks great, but are you happy to spend $49 on one?

$49 is bit to much for a back cover :S
BTW, any YouTube video available about “changing the back-cover”?

meh, price is 30$ too high, dont care for 50$ accessories other than quality earphones. Anyway pointless for me, cant get the phone itself in India no point getting to accessories. OPO are quite dumb in a way, when they are shipping phones from china or outside the listed countries to begin with, why cant they ship worldwide? let people worry about phone repairs they they get to that point.

I predict that they’ll draw the wrong conclusion when nobody buys any of these. They’ll think that there’s no demand for the back cover, when the real issue is that they priced it 3 times what it’s worth.

Most people like the idea of covering the screen when it’s in your pocket, or some sort of cover that protects the front, so a flip cover or something that fits over the whole phone is more useful.

It’s probably a matter of time until good people of China make a replica that would probably be priced at least at half price of this so if anybody wants their phone to look like laminate floor ( -.- ) should probably wait
