Breaking: OnePlus’ opening confirms India plans

OnePlus announced via a press release moments back that they were looking for a candidate to fill the General Manager’s position in India.

This confirms the long anticipated India plans for the young Chinese company, who’ve only have one phone in their kitty yet, the OnePlus One. The smartphone was launched in April this year, and has been receiving rave reviews from critics and consumers alike, causing huge anticipation in India.

India’s been playing host to a multitude of newcomer Chinese OEMs in India. Two of the biggest Chinese players in OPPO and Xiaomi made their way on to Indian shores this year, in January and July respectively. Considering the demand that the OnePlus One has seen in the Indian market, it’d be fair to say that it was only about time that OnePlus thought of operations in the world’s second largest smartphone market.
