OnePlus One headed to India before 2015, Windows phone could also be possible

After hiring staff in India, OnePlus are now ready to start selling their flagship phone in the super hot market.

OnePlus have confirmed that they are building a marketing team specifically for the Indian market! This will be a first for the phone company who currently run all of their international marketing from Shenzhen, China.

The team responsible for India will be working closely with E-commerce sites to sell the OnePlus One, which will be available via pre-order rather than invite. Director of OnePlus, Carl Pei had this to say while speaking to the Economic Times:

“India is a super hot market with rapid data growth and this is the right time to enter the market. We are talking to all three leading e-commerce players in India to start our operations. We hope to finalize our partner this week”.

When asked about the possibility of a Windows phone, Pei commented that they had been approached by Microsoft and it was something that they might be interested in:

“We have had discussions with Microsoft over a Windows Phone smartphone. We are still looking into it,”

So OnePlus One could be entering India officially before the year is out, and the OnePlus 2 might be shadowed by a Windows mobile device. What do you guys’t think of that?

Windows Phone?! Really! I’m currently using the Nokia 1520 as a secondary phone and Windows phone is way behind android in customizability, functionality & usability. The apps gap is just too huge, both quality & quantity. Up to this point, Windows phone can’t even properly support secured WiFi network in my school with ttls & pắp and Android has that for age! The more I use android the more backwards Windows phone appear to be.

I tip for new intel atom 4×2.4 GHz x86_64 SoC which will erase borders between PC and Phone. Dual boot windows/linux, ofc 🙂

Nah, Carl is just blowing gas. You’d have to spam the whole of India on Facebook for them to grant you an opportunity to buy their phone! So screw this sham of a company. Two many lies and flaws (their forums users bear testimony to what all rot happened) spewed for their reputation to hold any good.

Xiaomi has already entered in a big way, while OnePlus were busy acting pricey. Besides, the Nexus 6 and is ready to whip the One’s a$$, both hardware and software-wise!

This is just the beginning of the end of the OnePlus One in India.
