Realme confirmed last week that Realme UI is being retired. ColorOS 17 replaces it — on new devices and, eventually, existing ones. The company hasn't published an official eligibility list yet, but based on Realme's existing software update commitments, the picture is clear enough to map out. Here's every Realme device that should receive the ColorOS 17 upgrade.

What the Switch Actually Means

For most users, this is a branding change more than a software overhaul. Realme UI and ColorOS have been sharing code since at least 2022. The visual similarities are well-documented. What ColorOS 17 brings over existing Realme UI installs is primarily the features that have been exclusive to Oppo's platform — certain AI tools, design elements, and system-level refinements that never made it across to Realme's fork.

The rollout order isn't confirmed. Oppo devices will almost certainly get ColorOS 17 first, followed by Realme. No timeline has been announced. OnePlus completed its eligible device announcement last week — Realme is following the same pattern, just a few days later.
