Huawei have gone on the record to confirm that the Honor 6 will receive an Android 5.0 Lollipop update early in 2015.
Huawei’s Honor range of smartphones have done a great job or brining in new excitement and breathing a breath of fresh air in to the once rather dull smartphone maker. Earlier on in the life of the Honor range, the phones were aimed at young tech fans on a budget, but as popularity has grown phones from entry-level all the way to flagship are on offer.

As it stands we are currently waiting for the launch of the Huawei Honor 6 Plus, but owners of the current Honor 6 don’t need to start thinking about putting their phones out to pasture yet, in fact they can look forward to a nice fresh ROM.
Sometime in Q1 of 2015, the Huawei Honor 6 will receive an Android 5.0 update with EMUI 3.0 customisations. The timing of the ROM update will see it head OTA around the same time as the all new Lollipop OnePlus One ROM too!

Note that what it means is that the international version will get these updates by first quarter. While those using the China unicom models already have EMUI3.0 for last couple months and i expect Lollipop will drop in also by January for them.
