Online web stores specialising in international phone sales are already offering the new Xiaomi Redmi 2 at $154.99.
It used to take months for resellers to get their hands on the latest Xiaomi phones and offer them to customers around the world, but this is no longer the case and we are already seeing the Redmi 2 advertised to international users.
The Redmi 2 was announced last week and is the updated version of the Redmi 1S with dual SIM LTE, Snapdragon 410 processor, 2200mAh battery and a slightly smaller and much lighter body.
Pricing in China is just 699 Yuan ($110), but if you want to be the first to own the colourful new Redmi you are going to have to pay a premium as reseller SPEmall are advertising at $154.99.
Buying through resellers is the only way Xiaomi fans not living in an official launch zone will be able to get the Redmi, customers in India, Singapore, Malaysia ETC can look forward to an official launch later in the year.
