The UMi Zero continues to be a sellout success for the small mobile phone specialist, but black isn’t to everyone’s taste which is why a white model of the phone will soon be launched.
The spy photo of the UMi Zero was posted just a few moments ago on the official UMi Community Facebook page, and shows the slender Zero with a silver alloy chassis and white rear glass panel. Details are slim at the moment but it appears that UMi plan to release the white UMi Zero sometime after the Chinese Spring Festival.

There are no details if the white phone will receive any other update, although we keep our fingers crossed for at least a change to 64bit Mediatek processor with added LTE.
UMi released the current black UMi Zero last year, which has been selling well and receiving rave reviews. The Zero features a slim body, 5-inch 1080 Super Amoled display, 2GB RAM, 2.0Ghz octacore processor and 13 mega-pixel F1.8 rear camera.

in this day and age , LTE is bare minimum . And i fully respect the quality and build of this phone. im just disappointed that no LTE and STILL 200+ . would be reasonable BELOW $190.
But theres still so many places without fantastic LTE coverage, those places make do nicely with 3G!
thats true. Infact , in Pakistan only urban areas have LTE atm. BUT it never hurts to future proof ! also , phones here are SO darn overpriced , like $150 MORE than those at int’l prices. so an all in one package might be a better strategy!
it was $199 on aliexpress, I won’t say overpriced, you get Super Amoled FHD screen afterall.
hmm … but i think this one might die out quickly since metallic rims and superior build is finally embracing chinese companies and we’ll definitely see better phones for way lower prices by Q2 2015 approx!
The only advantage and difference on Umi Zero is the Super Amoled display, if this not make difference it’s clearly get something better, like phones with the newest Soc’s like Jiayu s3;
Even if they do offer LTE bands, it likely would be TDD and wouldn’t work in your area. Even if they release LTE-FDD, it still might not support the required band(s) to work in your area. In other words, don’t hold your breath for a truly international LTE phone from such a small Chinese company. So far I’m happy with 3.5G.

Umi made one of the better looking with build quality phone, and that’s not easy to a small company
