Coolpad IVVI arrives at TENAA with 4.7-inch display not 4.7mm body

The Coolpad SK1-01, the phone we believe is the new IVVI phone has received network approval but rather than getting a 4.7mm body it has a 4.7-inch display.

Over the years Coolpad has displayed a knack of being able to release surprising phones which high end hardware or innovative features. The new IVVI is a little underwhelming in these respects though.

Rumoured to measure only 4.7mm thick, the IVVI (or the phone we believe is the IVVI) turned up at TENAA earlier with a 7.9mm body and 4.7-inch display.

The TENAA details also mention a low-resolution of only 540 x 960, 1GB RAM, 1.2GHz processor, Android 4.4.4, 8 mega-pixel front camera and 8 mega-pixel rear. There is also space for an SD card and an infrared diode is thrown in for good measure too.

Not the super thin phone we hoped, and not really something to get all hyped up about either.

Comon Chinese how can it be there’s no alternative to the g4s. There’s a whole bunch of people who want a portable and decent phone dammit. Might have to order some mi4 knockoff in the end coz it’s compact (but heavy)
