MWC is the next big event in the tech calendar. Huawei are already working hard on their event show which will see the launch of new wearables and tablets.

Huawei are dropping out of the low-end phone market to concentrate on mid-range and high-end devices, ranging from Android smartphones, tables and wearable products, with a few models being prepared for the big unveil in Barcelona during MWC.

The above image was taken from a slide during an internal product meeting and reveals a few more details as to what we can expect.

Gizchina News of the week

From the wearable side of things we can see a possible successor to the B1 smart band, an Android Wear smartwatch and a new fitness device platform. Tables will be launch under the X series, focused on large screen and user experience, and the M series designed for media consumption.

The slide also indicates that we can expect a few more Huawei Android smartphones over the coming months also.

The P8 should be a beast, apparently with nice design. Something to look forward.

Don’t be so sure. The P series has always been more style over substance, ever since the P1. The substance is still pretty good, but by the time the phone launches the chip in the phone is usually too outdated to be considered high end. The designs are fantastic though, so that’s nice.

True but this time, based on specs, P8 is coming with Kirin 930, and this chip might be high end because the same leaked table showed Mate 8 being released in last quarter of 2015 with the same kirin 930 chip.

But the flagship chip will be on the Ascend D series, the D8 with Kirin 950 chip.

According to the presentation of Huawei , they only mentioned Mate series and P-series .
          They didn’t have any plans for D-serise , I suppose .
