New Tenaa listings point at possible Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 specifications

Xiaomi fans looking forward to the next generation Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 might be left a little disappointed if the following specifications become true.

With a new Xiaomi Redmi 2 already on sale, and a 2GB RAM version coming soon, attention now is focussed on the larger brother of the Redmi series. A recent TENAA listing might shed some light on the new Redmi Note 2, but specifications are a little disappointing.

Gizchina News of the week

Looking at the specs we can see that the dimensions, battery capacity and many of the other details of the Redmi Note remain unchanged. The specifications state a 1.2Ghz processor will be used (most likely the quad-core Snapdragon 410) and just 1GB RAM will be offered to begin with (a 2GB model is sure to launch too).

Other details of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 include a 5.5-inch 720p display, 5 mega-pixel front camera, 13 mega-pixel rear and MIUI V6 based on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat.

Pricing should remain unchanged and a release date before the Chinese New Year celebrations is expected.

No more new Mediatek chipsets basically means the rumors are true between Xiaomi and Mediatek, no more new Mediatek chipsets for Xiaomi.

Yeah, each and anyone of these budget phones look like a cheap fashion model: all beauty and no brains.

Xiaomi is going to pay for losing the partnership with Mediatek last year. These low/mid range 64bit Qualcomm SoC are pure crap comparing to Mediatek.
