Samsung unveils first 10nm SoC technology

samsung 10nm

Forget your 28nm and 20nm, forget even the rumoured 16nm from Huawei! Samsung will be releasing 10nm based SoC’s in the near future.

Chances are you didn’t know that the International Solid State Circuits Conference is in full swing until the 26th Feb, we certainly didn’t, but that show is now on the map thanks to a surprise announcement by Samsung.

Samsung head’s took to the stage at the show to announce their new 10-nm FinFET manufacturing process which will allow next generation Samsung SoC’s to be more powerful and energy efficient than ever.

So far only the manufacturing process has been confirmed, and no actual processors using the tech have been announced so we cannot comment on what other features we can expect from the Korean tech giant.

We do know though that 10nm chips won’t be be seen in production phones until at least 2016, which means a possible Galaxy S7 debut.

Surely, 10 nm SOC’s will likely be longer than 2016..as yet there are frontiers to be conquered ..20 nm..16 nm…so on..because the development in 16 nm is still a ongoing process just now.

Samsung’s Exynos will have 14nm in S6. If they will build apples new chip, i think apple will use this technology

Pretty much this entire article is your source being clueless morons (that site has some of the dumbest writers in human history) and you not knowing any better.
ISSCC is not a show , it”s a serious technical conference, it’s not a circus for consumers, it’s for serious people.

Right. So entire article and website is dumb because he called a tech event a “show” rather than a “technical conference”. lol.

No the entire article is way offbase for very obvious reasons that shouldn’t require an explanation.
Samsung has provided plenty of details on it’s 10nm last year ( https://www.semiwiki.com/forum/content/3884-who-will-lead-10nm.html ) and pretty much everybody has 10nm on their roadmaps. There is no relevant piece of new information here..
The article in Korean is also a piece of garbage, written by an actual journalist that, sadly, doesn’t understand much about what he’s talking about. That article went through Google Translate and GfG vomited something barely related to it like they often do. It’s comical how terrible people are at reading Google Translate and how mach they just invent to force a news that’s not there but that’s no reason to just copy/paste their garbage.

If that really makes the entire website dumb to you, then here’s some advice. Leave this website, never return, and go make your own website or blog.

Seriously, people like you are simply scum to many readers, me included. You’re literally just loud mouthed garbage to us. You’re own rant here has more misspellings and grammar mistakes than the entire article, and to top it off you’re a disrespectful prick.

Get lost, we don’t need a stuck up like you sticking your nose here.

Oh my mistake for wanting information that is actually accurate as opposed to imagined news.
As for my English my third language, guess you are clueless enough to think that English is the only language on this planet.
As for GfG it is dumb because they pretty much only publish nonsese that anyone that has a clue can easily spot.Maybe some day you’ll grow up and realize that.
And grow up,maybe next time figure out if i am right or wrong before you starting being rude.

Imagined news? Do you even know what imagined news is? No, obviously not, English is your third language, you’re allowed to butcher it as you wish, right?

And where did I ever say that English is my first language? It’s not, the only difference is that I actually learned it instead of just butchering everything while acting like a genius.

And publishing nonsense? I’m telling you this right now, if you don’t know much English, don’t act like you do. This whole paragraph makes less sense than every single article here combined. The only one spouting nonsense here is you.

You’re very obviously wrong, and you still have the audacity to be a hypocrite? You’re the one being rude to others.

You talk as if you’re a master of journalism, despite the fact you can’t even write a rant properly. You accuse the website of posting copy/pasted content that makes no sense despite the whole article making more sense than you.

You try to tell ME that I’m rude, when all you’ve done here is call others ‘dumb writers’ and ‘clueless morons’. The only clueless moron here is you, now get off you’re high horse and get a life.
