Android 5 Lollipop is still missing from Meizu’s range of current devices, but new screenshots confirm that at least the MX4 Pro is being ran on 5.0.1 in China.
The leaked screenshot comes form an Antutu V5.7 benchmark ran on a Meizu MX4 Pro running an unreleased version of Android 5.0.1 Lollipop for the phone. Only the ‘details’ screenshot has been released so we don’t know how well optimised the system is.
Last month a Flyme roadmap was released confirming when each current Meizu phone would expect to receive a Lollipop update.
The roadmap has the MX4 Pro due an update this month, with the MX4 around the same time. The Meizu MX2 and MX3 will come in May with the M1 and M1 note in June.

So late for lollipop update. In addition, flyme os is the best f*cked up os about language support and firmware update for international users. At least, it can’t be really hard to prepare language packs for flyme os. Anyway, valuable handset as its value. Let me conclude as a Jewish “I am not rich as a ‘cheap product consumer'”. Best regards,
Late? Lollipop isn’t exactly very stable at this point. And besides that, platform usage percentage isn’t very high, so no, they’re not late.
Do not mess with my mind and intelligence! Yeah, really late! I have an old boy, Motorola, officially it has Lollipop and it is exactly very stable! Also, Lollipop is stable on Samsung devices too. If Meizu updates the platform, platform usage will be high.
I want to clarify and correct something about Chinese perception. Hardware is meaningless unless you run software on it. We need a balance between hardware and software. We live our experience with softwares and hardware just supports this. It is very simple, aim is “running softwares”. User experience depends on software usage and it’s usability. Are you educated? Can you understand me? I passed all of software issues and updates, how many languages does Flyme OS support? Is there any language pack system on it? Fast and dirty software development is that. Anyway, good luck Meizu…
Outside of bragging rights, whats the hurry.
Phone is not broken by any means.
As a Nexus 5 owner and a user of Lollipop – no, it is not very stable. Lollipop introduced a host of bugs to many existing applications; one of which being their own Google Chrome which, for many people, crashed consistently. Furthermore (depending on the phone, surely), Android 5.1 is slow to transition between applications.
To say 5.1 is “exactly very stable” is quite silly considering how recent the OS is and the bugs that still exist throughout it.
Also – RIP Nexus side button functionality 🙁
Meizu m1 note and Meizu m1 will upgrade to Android 5.0 SOON:http://flosmall.com/blog/336-meizu-m1-note-and-meizu-m1-will-upgrade-to-android-50 GOOD LUCK MEIZU!
Are you drunk? Exynos 5430 is 32 bit SoC.
Chears 🙂
So, sorry. I was on m1 note. Sorry, again…
