1 Android 5.1 of OUKITEL U8

Oukitel are rolling out an Android 5.1 Lollipop update for their Oukitel U8 bringing 5 new features to the device.

With all the devices launched the Oukitel U8 may have missed the major headlines, but this budget phone from an up and coming phone maker boasts respectable features. At less than $150 the Oukitel U8 has 2GB RAM, 128GB SD card support and Android 5.1 Lollipop which is receiving its first update already.

The new update will bring plenty of new features to the phone including better quick settings access and controls. Quick settings will now be accessible from the lock screen allowing for easy access of the new WIFI and Bluetooth features, HotKnot QuickShare and notification modes.

A new priority setting will allow you to set your phone to do not disturb for a set time with the option for white listing certain contacts for emergency situations.

Updated dual SIM LTE support, new Mobile Anti-theft protection and data encryption settings.

Oukitel have prepared a video showing Android 5.1 in action on the U8 below:

More details of the phone and where to purchase them can be found over on the Oukitel website.
