Siswoo have updated the specifications of their Siswoo C55 model compared to previously released details, making it an even more desirable $150 smartphone.

When originally announced the Siswoo C55 was marketed with a quad-core MT6735 chipset, and 8 mega-pixel main camera, but those specification have now been revised with and now included an updated processor and upgraded rear camera.

The C55 will now ship with an octacore MT6753 chipset, the same as the one found in the Meizu m2 note, it retains the original 2GB RAM, 16GB memory and 5 mega-pixel front camera, but boasts an upgrade in the rear camera department to a 13 mega-pixel sensor.

Siswoo have also pointed out that the original battery size of 4200mAh was actually a mistake as was text meant for another smartphone model. The good news is the Siswoo C55 does have a good size 3300mAh battery, which is just above today’s average.

Pricing for the Siswoo C55 is $149.99 and the phone will be go on sale from 10th July.

Some shops were saying that they had the mtk6735 siswoo c55 in stock – a phone that doesn’t even exist.

I think there are old stocks with MTK6735, but the new ones are upgraded.

I’ve ordered in presale in June a Siswoo C55, and if they really come out with 2 different phone, mtk6735 for the older presale and the new one for the new order, I think that I will never buy again a SISWOO!!!!

There is the C50 with a 5″ screen, but only 8 GB of RAM, where G55 har 16 GB.

Unfortunately the specs of C50 aren’t enough, and the C55 will have a 5.5 screen now. So I’ll waiting for the Ecoo E05

That sounds pretty reasonable, at 149,99 it will have virtually no competition, this means that other Chinese manufacturers will have to reduce prices for their models.
And on top of that Siswoo use Omnivision camera which is great.

Thank you, but on the FB Siswoo page I read that the C55 is going to be targeted in Chinese market. I know that they have european centre but they don’t advertise it.
On the other hand I need a new phone really soon and I can’t wait for this C55 …

        • July 3, 2015

I saw news on their Fb and Tw that they’ve been selling phones in Jazztel shop, but no C55 there. C55 is only for online sale out of mainland of China, which is not “targeted in Chinese market”. Hope this would be good news…

If I’ve ordered C55 in pre-sale via gearbest.com in June, this changes applies on my order, right?

    • July 3, 2015

I think better to ask gearbest. 😛
