No.1 go all guns blazing with the new No.1 X6800

‘No.1 X6800’ is quite a weird name for a smartphone, but once you realize that it has a massive 6800mAh battery it all starts to make more sense.

It’s not just the extraordinary battery that defines the No.1 X6800. The phone is also ‘3 Proof’, as No.1 like to call it. In other words, the phone is water-, shock- and dust-proof. No.1 also claim that the phone has IP68 certification, if that helps.

Other specifications of this monster of  phone include a Snapdragon 410 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM, a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 pixel display, a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, a 5 mega-pixel front camera and of course, the 6800mAh battery. Oh and yes, the X6800 also has support for 4G LTE (in addition to 3G) on the following bands: FDD-LTE: 2100/1900/1800/1700/850/2600/900/800 MHz. A downer is the fact that it runs on Android KitKat.

Gizchina News of the week

In other words, the X6800 is like a power bank that is IP68 certified, does 4G and also has calling features.

No.1 have, in the past, been known for their clones. As you might have noticed already, the company seems keen on making a name for itself in the rugged phone market. Do you see that happening anytime soon?

Previous Xiaomi Redmi 2 now costs a mere $96 (599 Yuan)
Next Cube i7 Remix features the Remix OS and has a 'Retina' screen

Why do all these rugged phones only have 8gb of ROM and only kit kat. Sort these out and I have a second phone for work. Until then……

I don’t mind KitKat, as the Lollipop rom’s aren’t exactly well known for their trouble-free user experiences. What worries me more is the fact that this phone is fitted with only 1 Gb of RAM and 8 Gb of storage space.

Yeah, 1GB Ram is a downer. Hey, given it’s a rugged phone, I (for one) would like to know about GPS (GPS, A-GPS, Glonass?). Before reading the body text I was hoping for 5″ screen, decent camera, big battery, 2GB RAM, and full “spectrum” of GPS chips.

Seems like an upgraded version of No.1 X-men rugged phone.
Nice try though, since there are not many decent rugged phones in the market.

Could someone (?) confirm the RAM? Chinareview.mobi is reporting 2GB/16GB for this phone. If that’s true, and if it has GPS + Glonass, I might be interested (Geez, one would think they would be standard on a ruggedized phone).

im interested in one of these rugged phones if i can get one for cheap. i would just use it when i take my phone to the lake or something. it wouldn’t be my daily driver, just use it a few times a year as insurance for my “good” phone. but i would want it 5″ or less. it doesn’t need great specs. but it would need to be less than $100

hi friends i got my x6800 after giving a bribe of rs 5000 to Mumbai custom officer(as i don’t have any idea about custom duty he said legally u need to pay rs 12000,but now when i got my parcel i came to know no custom duty paid and product value calculated is rs 7100 i m totally confuse plz guide me if anybody know about custom and imports )

lets come back on mobile its my 1st rugged phone
it cost me $195+$21 shipping(chinavasion) and of course rs 5000 Mumbai ems imports custom
delivery took around 11 days THROUGH EMS,, PLZ DONT ORDER THROUGH EMS USE FED EX OR DHL IF U DON’T WANT TO GO THROUGH CUSTOMS (most corrupt people in the world)

    PROS:
    good build quality solid feel
    big screen size
smooth performance 5.7 GB free user memory and about 400 MB free ram
good battery backup but not as expected i though it has 6800 mah so no worry for 3 to 4 days about battery but after charging 100% in morning and using normally just calls, whats-app,20 min music it drops 51% , remember i have not played any games and no videos, no camera use
i just did waterproof testing and its ok
    supports gesture

    CONS:
big size its a phablet one hand operation is tough
camera quality is not up to the mark it give a feeling of 5 MP for rear one and 2 mp front
it can give you good images in HDR mode and video output is also good and u will get lots of setting in camera option
plz don’t expect too much with its camera
useless flash even u cant use it for torch purpose sometimes i feel display is more brighter then its flash 🙂
battery backup is not as expected as it has 6800 mah battery

no customization done in android from NO.1 company its simple android 4.4
    no sos button
headphone and accessories quality is very poor they are just like we are getting in trains for 20 rs

overall its a value for money product u can buy it for its toughness (i have not tested it yet)
waterproof and good build quality and for a feel to have something different from the other

i m happy with this product

please feel free to correct me if i said anything wrong above as its my 1st rugged phone and review

and sorry for my bad English 😉

i will update later if i left any features of this product for any further info feel free to contact me at dkumar.dharmendra@gmail.com
