Asus now offering the Asus Zenfone 2 with 256GB memory

asus zenfone 2 deluxe

If you are struggling to find a phone with a large enough memory, then the special edition Asus Zenfone 2 with 256GB memory could be right up your storage alley.

The Deluxe Special Edition phone is easily identified thanks to a unique polygon design on the rear and matching wallpaper. The gem like finish is to show this off a limited edition flagship and with 256GB on board storage it certainly is ahead of similar phones in the storage wars.

Gizchina News of the week

Besides the design change and storage boost, the rest of the hardware remains identical to other top of the range Zenfone 2 handsets and includes a 5.5-inch FHD display, 64bit Intel chipset and 4GB RAM.

Interestingly Asus have only announced the Deluxe Edition for the Brazilian market, so the rest of the world needs to wait.

Can only imagine the premium they are going to charge for this.

The ZE551 32GB cost 295$. The 64GB cost 320$. With an educated guest, we can say that the device will be around 400$. 450$ max.
I don’ t see any point to have a phone with 256GB excepted that you use it for especially for HD movies and HD photos. But for that they need to fix the camera.

I think all Zenfones are ugly lol. If they had a design to match the performance and a good looking UI I would probably own one.

I could get by the ugly designs (even the Zenfone 4, 5 and 6 were hideous to me) if the UI looked good. But that is just as hideous looking.

If they brought the cameras up to 8MP/20MP I’d buy. A 5MP front camera is so 2012.

Asus keeps to upgrading the hardware but forget finalize their software. What’s the point?
The software of the camera is still making cheap shots.

I think it’s the actual sensor the one that sucks, If i need to take a pic I would use any of my other phones even the Mlais M52 with the IMX219q rather than use the Zenfone 2 camera.

Then 99% of all the smartphones right now are 2012 im kind of sick of this MP wars
13/5 mp combo is quite enough i would say even 2 mp is enough for your self shooter because 2mp =1080p

lol … if all companies would have good coders for the camera

        • Dante
          August 25, 2015

It doesnt depend only on coders – usually smaller companies which use good sensors (imx214 for example) use awful optics and fuses for the overall camera resulting in an overall bad image – sometimes people say (even if it has imx214 it makes bad images!) Sometimes its the programmers fault sometimes it stays in hardware

      megapixels dont matter
      pixel size matters

If I go to a photo shop to print computer files, I want to take PNG or TIF files, not JPGs. That’s the comparison. Colours can be deceptive of the quality.
