number 1 x2 i rugged smartphone

No.1 have launched an update of their IP68 certified X2 rugged smartphone, with more RAM and Lollipop as standard.

The popularity in rugged phones continues, so No.1 have updated their fast selling X2 rugged phone to come with more memory and Android 5.1 out of the box. Named simply the No.i X2I, this update looks physically identical only with 2GB RAM and Lollipop, where as the original X2 came with 1GB RAM and Kitkat.

The body keeps its IP68 certification meaning that it is water and dust proof, plus shockproof thanks the the ample rubber padding in the body.

Another change is the switch from a Qualcomm processor to a Mediatek MT6735 chipset. This is a 64bit chip so perfect for running Lollipop, plus it boasts native LTE support.

We’re not sure how much No.1 plan to sell the X2I for, or when it will go on sale, but more details for this rugged smartphone can be found over on the No.1 website here.

I’d love to see No. 1 make more original phones and less clones. They’re devices are all very well built and good quality.

Seriously, if you’re gonna call yourself the number one of anything, at least use a more original font for your brand name.
