ZTE Small Fresh 3 also launched today with metal body and fingerprint scanner

Xiaomi isn’t the only phone maker to launch an all alloy phone with fingerprint scanner today. ZTE also launched the new ‘Small Fresh 3′, but specs and pricing aren’t that impressive.

After seeing the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 launch at 899 Yuan today and boating hardware that is good enough to see on a flagship phone, the release of the ZTE Small Fresh 3 is a little underwhelming.

ZTE are pricing their new phone at 990 Yuan in China, which is about on par with the Redmi Note 3 and the Meizu Metal and like those two phones it also has an all metal body and fingerprint scanner (on the rear).

Gizchina News of the week

Compared to the other phones though, the ZTE has a 5-inch HD 1280 x 720 display, and a much less powerful quad-core Mediatek MT6735 chipset, 2800mAh battery plus just 8GB internal memory. There is however a SD card slot and the front camera of the device is 8 mega-pixels.

ZTE chose today to announce their latest budget phone, but the device won’t be available to buy until the 4th December. At this price, don’t expect may resellers to offer the phone internationally.

Nope not really. Only other device I like aside from the Rome is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Others are somewhat overpriced.
