but i bet Geekbuying will mess up with the local customs … i bet they’ll most definitely screw me over with Pakistani Customs !

It doesn’t matter. Thay can’t mess with the local customs. I bought many phones from many China sellers and their packagings are the same and they will state whatever price you want on the packaging. So, it doesn’t matter whether you buy from GeekBuying, or PandaWill, or EverBuying, or GearBest…..

Damn resellers make at least 50$ net profit by selling Redmi 3. I think that I should think about relocating to China and open a shop. I think that I will be rich in 5 years. No offense but there are as well poor peoples who are looking for phones in China mainly because of the attractive prices there.

Just ask them, several Aliexpress phone sellers doesn’t send to my country (based on their publication) but if you ask them they will activate your country, unless you’re from Argentina or other country with fucked up customs laws.

Does this mean that you MUST buy a couple of these ? cause (i think…) i bought it on aliexpress but still no noew to WHEN it will be shipped.

No, there are some sites organizing these. Basically, they “guarantee” a lot of orders to the seller in exchange of few dollars lower price for those participating. Also, it’s safer to buy from those since they cooperate only with trusted sellers and it’s not profitable to seller to spoil relations with them.
You usually just need to type “secret word” to the seller to show that you are participating.

PDAF stands for Phase Detection Auto Focus. It is a technology borrowed from DSLR’s, I won’t bore you with the technical details but it enables the sensor to focus a lot quicker than traditional methods.

Everyone claims they have PDAF and Gorilla glass … how do one verify? Such as Elephone and Doogee and all … how can I trust them? PDAF, i won’t know until I try it, but how about Gorilla glass? Any test?

      • Muhammad Yasir
        January 19, 2016

i have a few tests in mind for the Gorilla Glass , but they all involve considerable damage to the phone :p
        better ask someone else 😀

as for PDAF , no idea

Really don’t see the big deal about their markups, they are resellers afterall, not charities or non-profit organizations. Most of these sites have “free” shipping which is actually not free for the reseller and it’s surely costing them at least $20+ to ship the phone. Technology has never been cheaper, and reseller margins are actually a lot lower now then say 5 years ago when you had to pay a much, much higher premium to get an imported phone.

Why would some one buy this phone while the redmi note 2 is much better even from the redmi note 3 which doesnt have an card expension ???

The redmi note 2 is even cheaper.
