Doogee are updating a few of their phones from the cheap and cheerful Y200 and Y300 to other models like the $100 Doogee X6 Pro.

The X6 Prois already on sale now but ships with Android 5.1 running on the quad-core chipset and 2GB RAM hardware configuration.

Doogee say that Android 6 will bring an number of useful updates to the X6 Pro including new navigation, a search bar at the top of every screen, updates memory management features and better battery life from the 3000mAh battery thanks to ā€˜Dozeā€™ and standby features.

Itā€™s not clear when Doogee will roll out the update, but we hope it will be a simple case of receiving and OTA notification and hitting ā€˜installā€™.

I am one of the first to bash Doogee, but I will give them props here. This is a step in the right direction for this company.
