Elephone M3 sample photos

elephone m3

Elephone, not a company known for making superior camera phones, have released sample photos taken with their Elephone M3. Check them out.

For regulars of GizChina, you will know Elephone as the brand that gets specs and pricing right, but fails when it comes to the implementation of hardware and design. In the past the phone maker has had some promising phones on paper only to be let down with optimisation issues, but will this be an issue of the past with the Elephone M3?

The Elephone M3 will be the third Elephone device in the ‘M’ range and the model with the highest hardware specification to date.

The $199.99 M3 looks like a premium Oppo phone, and will come with a Mediatek Helio P10 chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB memory, rear fingerprint scanner and Sony IMX230 21 mega-pixel main camera built-in to an all metal body.

Gizchina News of the week

We have seen the IMX230 in the Vowney too, but have Elephone done a better job with the camera on the M3 this time around? Take a look at the samples below:

Elephone M3 photo samples

I’d like to get my hands on the M3 and see what the camera performance is like first hand, but already it looks like the phone struggles with over exposure in certain parts of the image.

Looking at the sky the M3 produces a white, washed out image, where as other high-end camera phones would be able to give a more natural blue sky. Again we don’t know just how bright the sun was shining on the day these photos were took so we can’t be 100% sure how the camera performs just yet.

There are more sample photos to check out here.

The P8000 died (stopped charging) in 4 months, the M3 died (again stopped charging) in a month. I seriously doubt elephone has anything good coming. That’s a lot of wasted cash.

You try to warn people, but they don`t listen, let them buy Elephone, and if they’re lucky it might last 6-7 months before falling appart(or developing some other issues)

People fall in love with Elephone’s specs and promises and completely ignore their history. For me I will be critical of them until two things happen: they release a great phone with no issues, it still works 7 months later.

They have done that, the Trunk, the P6000 series and the M2 have been lasting so far(have confirmed people who own those for over 6 months without any issues and in general the vine says they last).

Problem is that`s like one of every three-four models, and to be fair the P6000 series and Trunk have allot going for it(good specs, good built and great price), but appart from those evrything that they offer is overhyped and claims are not nearly what the actual product does, and they have been slowly upping their prices, so that they appear more premium to the general public.
I will not even mention the first 20 models that the company made, which all of them were absolute garbage!
In the end it`s a company that’s built on the foundation of lying to their customers, and that is something I cannot forget.

Sorry but you always négative with elephone, but I had an elephone G7 since 1 year and it work, my father has à P6000 and it work, my wife has a P8000 with eragon rom and the phone is great, so for me and for the price elephone is better than many other (N°1 or UMI for exemple)

The only Elephone that I have owned and is still working is the second batch P6000, all other Elephones failed after reaching their first birthday.

They truly have no quality control.

Photos do not look very impressive, considering that the it`s in almost perfect sunlight conditions(my old Z1 compact could do better shots). also you can now see the actual bezels, which are not as small as Elephone will have you believe.

So much for a bezless phone that first picture of the phone you can clearly see the same black borders the Mi5 has. Looks like Hugo was right.

The photos themselves look like any number of cheaper brands. There is not much detail to them, the colors are muted and there looks to be some over exposure. Looks about the same as the P9000 and Vowney.

Needs NFC. Problem with Elephone is availability of stock (No.1 problem), software and some stupid choices in features, example Vowney not having captive button and USB3. They need to ditch M,S,G series and concentrate on P series, and Vowney. In other words, too many phones causing manufacturing delays on products people want, lack of software support due to so many phones, and bad choice in features.

The best thing for Elephone (and others) would be to focus on 3 phones a year: budget, mid-range, flagship. Stop with the pointless accessories and stop with a new flagship every few months. Take all that time and money and invest it in just those 3 phones. When you perfect those 3 phones through a couple of launch cycles than you can do action cameras and additional models.

Hi balco, sorry to get off the subject, i will sell my xiaomi redmi note 3 and want to buy the pro or mx4 pro or mx5, they have similar prices, what do you think and recommend something else in the price of 200 – 230 $? I would like something with a better camera. Thanks for the future informations.

I used the MX5 everyday now for the last 7 months, it is one of the best phones I have used in a long time. It’s never let me down, the build quality is incredible and the camera is very good. For the price it currently sells at, it is a very good value. Just be aware it has limited LTE bands if that is something you require. I use it everyday on 3G here in the US and I get pretty good speeds.

Other phones to consider in that price range: Xiaomi Mi4c, Redmi Note 3, OnePlus X (a little bit more but it’s currently Andi’s favorite phone), LeTV 1s.

I heard too much bad news regarding elephone brand. So i don’t think i want to experiment myself by buying their products.

Btw it seems that a lot of china manufacturers nowaday don’t care much about their reputation. They forget (or probably ignorance) that now we got internet, so anything whether good or bad will spread very quickly through all the forum / facebook or web posts.

In the olden day, we valued our honor more than our life. Now it is all about capitalism and money, nobody care anymore about their honor. Such a pity actually.
