Nubia Z11 Mini expected on 19th April with compact design

nubia z11 mini teaser

Nubia’s next teaser is out for their 19th April launch and points at a phone with slim, compact body small enough to fit in a wallet.

Nubia’s Chinese marketing team have today released the above teaser pointing at a launch on the 19th April. The image shows a smartphone that easily fits in to a wallet suggesting that the phone to emerge that day would be a compact, slim design.

The only phone we can think of that would be smaller than a standard flagship (at 5.5-inch) is the Nubia Z11 Mini smartphone, which according to earlier reports would boast a 4.7-inch – 5-inch display along with narrow borders.

Gizchina News of the week

The use of a wallet in the image might also give us a clue on the pricing of the phone too? Perhaps Nubia are telling us to expect a wallet friendly phone on the 19th April?

The rest of the Nubia Z11 Mini specs aren’t known at this time, but we guess the processor will be a 600 series Qualcomm chipset, RAM around 4GB, there will be a fingerprint scanner and the rear camera should be in the 13-16 mega-pixel range.

Wow, Nubia is off to a very late start in 2016 with a rather mediocre device, and very little news around its upcoming phones.

Late? What are you talking about, Z9 was announced in May last year, Z7 in July, and Nubia phones are not mediocre at all, maybe you are thinking about Elephone, Umi, Bluboo, Dooge or something like those.

This is actually early for Nubia…..

And I can’t think of a single Nubia dating back to the Z5 that was “mediocre”. Think you are very confused by this brand.

They make a model for a variety of price budgets. They have a mini version that usually sells for around the same as a Xiaomi.

Good quality phones had one that took a lot of abuse! The Nubia ui is not my cup of tea but you can get ROMs easy for it

As a current owner of a Z9 Max (and my missus has broken two Z9 mini handsets in the past 8 months by dropping them in water), I’m less impressed with the quality. the plastic used for the inset in the metal frame is really brittle, and all four corners of the plastic edge around the screen have “peeled” off – leaving it looking rather ugly. No way to fix either without replacing the chassis itself. I hope that they improve upon this, as otherwise, the phone has been/is fantastic! Fast, doesn’t overheat, great camera, dual-sim AND micro-SD.

I had a z5s mini for nearly two years had a cover and screen protector on it dropped it nearly every day or my son would launch it on to floor so you can take from that ….

I had a Z7 and it was built like a tank, the only thing I didn’t really like was the software but from what I have heard it has improved a lot since then.
